Financial wellness content library

Retirement plan participant content

Financial wellness content you can start using today

  • Actionable content
  • Your branding
  • Participant-first philosophy

Today we are launching twenty-three new pieces of content inside the Wallet1000 Financial Wellness platform. This content covers much of the financial wellness spectrum from how to build a budget, how to get out of debt, how to shop for life insurance, how to start estate planning, and much more. We are excited to get this in the hands of participants who are seeking to improve their personal finances.

Too often a participant gets their financial advice with “the what” (to do) rather than “the how” (to do it). They hear on TV that they should pay off their debt. “Good idea!” they think. “How do I do that when I’m living paycheck to paycheck and already eating rice with every meal?” Or the financial wellness software their company uses keeps hawking personal loans or insurance products–often the products that put the most money in the financial wellness company’s pocket rather than the product or advice the participant needs at that time.

Wallet1000 does not have any products to sell participants, and we do not have any interest in anything other than helping people achieve their financial goals. As we learned growing up–education is about learning to ask the right questions rather than being given the answers. When someone is looking to buy life insurance or consolidate their debt there is a good chance they might speak to someone who is looking out for themselves rather than their client and steering them towards policies or loans that pay big commissions but do little to help their client.

Few things make us angrier than companies preying on those that are seeking their help.

However, there is little we can do to change the behavior of those companies. What we can do is help people learn what they need to consider in the situations they find themselves in. Achieving financial wellness is a long journey with many bumps on the road. It is also ultimately a personal journey meaning that, while you might turn to other people for help, you are the one responsible for your future.

The best way to ensure a bright financial future is to learn the ins and outs of your personal finances. Do some research before talking to any professional who might have something to sell you. It might cost you a bit of time, but it could save you a lot of money.

We truly hope the content we have available will help people take the right path on their journey. Everyone has the power to learn ways to improve their finances and to then take action building a better life for themselves and their family.
